"There comes a point where we need to stop just pulling people out of the river. We need to go upstream and find out why they're falling in"
Desmond Tutu

As a leader you might be the one pulling people out, while sometimes feeling like you're the one in the river yourself.

  • Leadership burnout is a significant challenge.

  • The Wellbeing project states that over half of managers experience burnout.

  • DDI world says this includes hybrid and remote leaders.

  • 74% of healthcare executives report extreme stress levels.

  • 33% of new leaders lack confidence in their ability to succeed in their roles.

VIVA-GO helps leaders support themselves to support others, here's how:

Relationship and Personal Values

Leaders explore what matters to them. This clarity means they lead with integrity and intention. They grow in compassion for self and others, leading to well- being, staff retention and happy teams!

Reflection

Personal values impact leadership, awareness of strengths and emotional intelligence.

By grounding leadership in personal values, coaching encourages deeper self-reflection.

Responsibility

When leaders make decisions aligned with their values, they live and act more confidently.

This authenticity builds trust and ripples out to enable others to lead more authentically too.

If only 10% of FTSE 100 CEOs are women, and 96% are white, inclusive leadership practice means taking bias, equity and ethical responsibility.

Resilience

Values provide a strong internal compass. In times of stress, leaders who have strong values stay grounded, maintain perspective, and lead from a place of purpose rather than fear.

Psychological Safety

Values-based leaders foster environments of respect, trust, and inclusion. By modelling vulnerability and purpose, they create safe spaces where others feel seen, heard, and motivated in their own journey.

Empowerment and Accountability

Leaders who understand and live their values are more likely to empower others to do the same. They hold themselves and others accountable to shared principles, promoting a culture of growth and responsibility.

Values were ranked as one of the top three most desirable leadership traits, alongside communication (45.2%) and interpersonal skills (44.2%)

Testimonies

I was amazed! I would consider myself a very motivated sort of person. I was so blessed because there were two areas in my life that I hadn’t thought about that were holding me back and even though we did a really short session on it I’ve moved forward in my life in the most amazing way. It was just so simple and so obvious.

I learned quite a lot about myself, and where I need to put my time and efforts in order to have a better life! It really helps me to prioritise, which my messy mind often struggles to do so. It reminded me that if we don’t action things, they don’t happen

You can apply it to anything and I felt incredibly empowered, because when you break it down, it’s totally doable. It doesn’t feel like this huge, overwhelming, unbearable task. The values are really important, and it linked into things that I hadn’t thought it might link into, like the place where you feel motivated, and people.

It makes you think about what you really want and the ways to achieve it, and to see how you should aim to achieve your goal. It’s very practical about particular steps to achieve

I have benefitted tremendously from Viva-go…I have used the tools to empower myself, especially to work through projects and tasks that felt so overwhelming for a long time. The miracle question really helps you “see” the future you wish for and work towards it in bite-size parts! The “How can I?” question immediately starts you off on an optimistic path, so that success will be assured. It feels a little like therapy that you can self-administer as it allows you to look within and to be honest and fair in evaluating yourself and figuring out how you work and what strengths you have that will allow you to achieve your goal. It has been life changing for me personally.
